The Pitbull originated from a cross between Bulldogs and Terriers in the 19th-century. It was primarily used on farms and also became popular as a family pet. In modern times, they received a bad reputation from irresponsible training and breeding but recently the public has embraced this breed for it’s positive and valuable traits and they are now enjoying a new and well deserved popularity.
Temperament

Upkeep and Health
Pit Bulls have a high energy level and should be given daily workouts and exercise. They do best if they have an area to run and love to play fetch and other games. They do not do well in apartments and do best when they have a fenced in yard to burn off energy.
Major health concerns include hip dysplasia.
